Go South from Breckenridge on Highway 9. Turn right on Spruce Creek Rd (about
2.5 miles south of the Boreas Pass Rd stoplight in Breckenridge). Follow Spruce
Creek Rd until reaching the Spruce Creek Trailhead parking lot.
If this trail wasn't so overcrowded with hikers it might get a 4, but based on the INSANE popularity that I observed, I can only give it a 3. Not only was I barely able to ride due to the throngs of people streaming up and down the trail, but those same throngs have widened the trail out into wide doubletrack essentially the entire way. It's pretty techy and challenging, but it's just not that great of a trail.
