Mountain Biking St. Sebastian River Preserve Southeast Blue Trail
#204 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
This is a scenic trail that takes you through a typical Florida forest like the ones we enjoyed playing in as kids before they were all leveled and replaced with houses, malls, etc. As such it consists of your typical Florida white sand and is no picnic to pedal through unless you have a pair of good strong pistons for legs. For starteres I recommend taking the Cat Face Trail up to the Mullet Camp, a three mile ride through the forest. There are three different loops you can ride back on. Or if you choose you can try to finish the entire loop, but it was too wet when I was there in late October. On my ride I saw a large number of wild turkeys (I think that's what they were) and a wild hog on the trail, so this definitely a nature trail. Next time I go I am bringing a video camera.

From the Sebastian/Fellsmere Exit on I-95, head east on CR 512 for about 1 1/2 miles. The entrance will be on your left. There is a county swimming pool to the left, but you want to keep going down the road till it turns to dirt. After passing through a gate you will come across the first parking area, where you will find a kiosk with plenty of trail maps (hopefully). The trailhead starts here.
