Trail has a closure between shelter #1 & #4. Detour by paved 2-lane.

Great course around the lake. Not very technical, but has some awesome climbs. Counter clockwise is definitely more challenging than clockwise. Watch out for hikers!

Awesome trails, some single track! Clockwise around the lake by far is the easier route. Counter clock wise is a real workout. I've gone mostly during week days, not crowded at all. Weather is important, trails get Very difficult when wet. DNR has filled in some of the washed out areas with large cobble stones. Excellent time on 6/21/12 & 6/24/12.

this trail is not a singletrack in my book (really wide and gravel in spots). But it is a good trail to ride for fun. it was too wet for me to even think about riding some hills but even dry they would be unreal..... I would ride again if I was in the area. and yes they should have a race there.

This trail is a good aerobic workout. There's about 5 decent climbs. 2 of these 5 a very techinical (rocks, ruts, roots, etc.) This trail is very fast. It's 8 miles long and I think the fastest time that I know of is 35 minutes. I think this would be a great race venue. I actually even tried to put on a race here, but the DNR denied my request.
