Secrets out!!! People are finally starting to hear about this ride.
This was one of my first rides in Summit County. Mountain Bike heaven!! 13 miles of sweet singletrack, Smooth as a babys bottom hardly a rock anywhere, A couple of climbs a killer downhill, and lots of twisty singletrack. I ride it as much as I can. Enjoy.

From the parking lot head south until you find a gate about 1/2 mile . Follow the trail through the gate. There are two intersections stay to the right at these. At 4 miles you come to the Colorado Trail a T intersection go left. Beware of the Blair Witch! Bomb down this hill to Horseshoe Gulch. Continue on the Colorado Trail. Climb towards the West Ridge to an unsigned jct.(Red's Trail) There is a post with Colo. Trail emblem. Continue north on this fine singletrack. The ensuing downhill reminds me of the singletrack from Pavilion Point down to Silver Plume. AND IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!! When you reach Keystone Ranch turn right on the Keystone Ranch Trail to Aqueduct Trail. At the old gate turn left down into Summit Cove, ride past the school and back to the start.

The trailhead parking lot is small so you can also start this ride at Keystone Gulch or Dredge Boat Trailhead.

Amazing ride. Went towards the end of the season in early October, mostly dry, but there were a decent amount of muddy patches and some snow and ice.

Beautiful Ride ... Easy enough to ride with two beginner kids and another on a tagalong.

The Soda Creek trail itself was good--but I found all of the other trails in the area that connect to it to be even better. Taken as a whole, this entire trail area is a 5 but by itself, this single trail is more like a 4.

Soda creek is pretty smooth, flowy, and climbs/descends, depending which direction you're going (ie not flat). While I found this to be a fun trail, I found some of the markings lower down to be lacking, and the trail tread to be too wide in places.

Rode this with my wife again. It's a nice smooth singletrack, not too much climbing, not technical. Has good flow, few places to hike-a-bike.
I think this is a great trail system to get novices excited about mtn biking.

True rigid fork territory, nothing too exciting. I wouldn't drive here from the Front Range just to ride this trail.

Soda Creek is a great warm up on the way in to the Colorado Trail, Blair Witch, and others. As a front ranger, I love this kind of singltrack riding since we have so little around home.
I HIGHLY recommend that you search out Blair Witch as well.
    Great track, great fun!

My suggestion would be to head up to this trail from Keystone Gulch trail and then West Ridge(from the outback) from West Ridge get on the Colorado Trail (for about a half mile or so) and then onto Red's trail and It's all downhill from there. I would suggest getting a map/gps. the first time I was out there I got lost coming down and ended up in Breckenridge.

A good loop to do here is, from Keystone Gulch, take Aqueduct, which is fast and easy until you get to Keystone Ranch, where it goes into a flowing up and down through some nice meadows, to the camp, take first left and climb a shortish hill, down to the dredge boat, take a left on the Colorado Trail and climb for about 5 miles, and then cruise down Red's Trail which drops you back off at the camp. Nothing too technical or difficult, but real nice fast singletrack.

This is the most boring trail in Colorado. If you want to ride where the locals ride in Summit County, you should do the Peaks Trail instead.

Did this ride yesterday evening. I don’t. think there is a technical spot on the whole ride! We started at Keystone Resort rode about 20 miles and it only felt like five. That was just what I needed a nice easy spin. Had to cut the ride short due to daylight so we rode Blair Witch back to Keystone Ranch instead of the West Ridge route.
