Mountain Biking Ride and Fly: Sykes Park
#137 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
High quality singletrack trail with a surprising amount of elevation given its location. Parts of the blue trail are bermed and flowy, while other parts offer challenging rock features.

Fun short track with some pumps, and some technical rocky areas
Thank |Well designed track with lots of features. The biggest one being close to town. For a quick ride close to town this is a great option.
Thank |Flow, berms, jumps, climbing, singletrack, rocks...all in about a mile. The new king of ITP Atlanta trails.
Thank |As the person who got the trails to come to the park, I'll try to be as impartial as I can. With the inner loop included, the trail is currently 1.6 miles - regardless of what your GPS tells you - we wheeled it out. We built a variety of features and styles into the main trail, with plenty of berm turns, flow and a few jumps, cross-country single track, and a little downhill. We built them to be a challenging intermediate trail that would keep you entertained for multiple laps. I'm giving us 4 stars because I truly believe we packed a lot of punch into a small pocket park and you would be hard-pressed to find this many features Inside the Perimeter. We need more miles (more on that below) and there are a couple of features we can improve on, which we will be doing in the coming weeks. The trail currently offers some challenging rock sections, fun flow and plenty of up and down that after 4 or 5 laps you'll be plenty of smiles and exhausted.
In the fall we will be using the $100K in grants we have just received to build another 1.5 miles of new trails that will include a couple of sick natural rock gardens, a pump track, intermediate downhill line and a free ride area with plenty of large boulders to drop off of. By Spring of 2019, we will have a three-mile main loop that will include several black to double black spurs. The goal will be for you to ride two laps, one using the main loop, the second incorporating the spurs to give you 6-7 miles of riding in without feeling repetitive... all only 1 mile from the airport and East Point Marta station. These trails will also connect to a series of pocket parks that will be put into the Ride and Fly system sooner than later.
Thank |Great quality but limited mileage. Great to link up with other (future) rides in the area.
