Mountain Biking Sylvan Hill Bike Park

*****   Add a review
#36 of 388 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
#1,714 in the world

One of a kind all encompassing bike park at Sylvan Hill. Normally a tubing hill in the winter time is now a gravity oriented summer bike park built by Rock Solid Trail Contracting out of Copper Harbor, MI.

Trail layout is a 1.3 mile long outer loop, downhill w/ some XC flow at the bottom and return climb. Inside the main loop are three progressively harder downhill only runs ranging from .25 to .4 miles in length.

Sylvan's Run outer loop downhill is relatively tame in difficulty but has lots of rock options on the side to spice things up. Some nice flow along the lower hill with boardwalks and a view of Jim Moore Creek.

Intermediate downhill run, Bad Rabbit, has a series of tabletop jumps with bermed corners. Rollable for most but plenty of air can be had.

Advanced downhill run, Twisted Oak, has a 2-3' rock lip jump at the entry you must clear to ride. Tabletop's are much larger with raised lips that encourage you to go faster to clear them properly.

Expert downhill run, Fish Hook, has a 5-6' rock lip gap jump you must clear to enter the trail. All jumps require a lot more speed to clear.

At the top of the park is a large pump track and small skill area for added fun.

This is a bike park where you start at the top of a hill and choose a downhill trail, and then you ride back up to do it again. Not a XC trail. If you come with that expectation, it is a really great set of trails that allow you to progress your skills. Most of the expert stuff is rollable, but you'll get the most out of it by taking the trail that truly meets your skill level, and working to better your jump skills. Great for beginners/kids, all the way up to really knowing your stuff!

Short, but so much fun. Super flowy and challenging. I definitely have some skills to develop before I can shed this whole place.

Short but well done, pretty much the most fun one can have on two wheels in WI.
