Mountain Biking Talbot Lake
#48 of 219 mountain bike trails in Alberta
This lake is great to ride on in the winter. In 2014 it froze about 10 to 14 inches deep in some areas. There is a sulphur spring on the one side so be very aware of open water there. When there is no snow, have at 'er.

East side of Jasper on Highway 16
A really good place to learn how to use studded tires on any bike. The wind swept ice had great smooth patches and then sections that were similar to small waves. Those were great to gain confidence on. The scenery is absolutely incredible with mountains all around. This lake is one of a couple we go to in winter for rides.
