Mountain Biking Tanglefoot

#18 of 37 mountain bike trails in Mississippi

Rails to trails route. VERY straight but with long inclines, rough bridges. Has rest stations (bathroom/picnic table under cover) every 10 miles. Not smooth enough for a skinny tire racing bike, too tame for a mt bike. GREAT speed & endurance route. Nicely wooded, wildlife (ie snakes), you will see other people on this trial; walking/slow riders/ runners. Great place to train or work with a beginning rider. You could even make this an overnight ride. Cafe's and ice-cream parlors on the route at the 10 mile stops make this a family ride.

44 mile paved trail. When everything else is underwater,, don't know about the complaints about roughness. It's about as smooth as it gets. Trail gets regular, and good maintenance. Good food both ends, and several places in between.

Paved, wide, rough bridges (aggravates lower back pain), LONG inclines. Great ride to break in new riders, family, or go for speed & endurance. NOT A MT BIKE TRAIL AT ALL, but it is fun!
