Mountain Biking Te Whiti Riser

***   Add a review
#66 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
#8,374 in the world

The Te Whiti Riser takes you from the western side the range - the Hutt Valley side - up onto the crest where you'll meet the ECNZ summit 4wd road. There you turn right and head south to join up with the main Wainuiomata trails.

It's a wide, two-way shared track that zig-zags it's way gently up 450 vertical metres over a distance of 3.5km. The gradient is very easy and controlled.

This is an excellent track of its type - the gradient is so well controlled that you won't notice the 450 metres of vertical ascent. And you won't shave any layers off your brake pads if you go down it! It's wide, smooth, and easy.
