The Canyons Ski Resort-area trails extend from Iron Mountain south. This area includes The Canyons Bike Park, Holly's, Rob's, Ambush, and other trails. Some of these trails are gnarly and downhill-only, but others accommodate two-way traffic and are rideable on all mountain and cross country bikes.

In general, this is the rocky end of the Park City area trails. I much prefer the trails at the Deer Valley end.
Thank |In terms of modern lift-assisted bike parks, the Canyons Bike Park (officially known as Park City Bike Park at Canyons Village) does not measure up!
There are three lifts - the Red Pine Gondola, the High Meadow Chairlift and the Short Cut Chairlift. There are a couple of good trails off the Meadow Chairlift but they are less than a mile long and descent only 250 feet. There is one trail off the Short Cut Chairlift called Drop Kick - it's blue (intermediate) and features drops. It is less than a mile long and descends about 300 feet.
All up there are 1.4 miles of easy trails, 1.3 miles of intermediate trails, 2.5 miles of advanced downhill trails and 2 miles of extreme downhill trails including Canyons Downhill - a one mile long trail that descends 1350 feet. It features extremely steep, rocky chutes and not much else.
A number of cross-country trails can be accessed from the chairlifts including Ricochet which is a bumpy down-sloping cross-country trail, two and a half miles long, devoid of interesting technical features. It descends 1300 feet back to the base of the bike park.
There are a few good features in the trails but overall they are tired old hucksters that lack magic. For some real bike park downhill fun head across Park City to Deer Valley where you'll find some great intensely technical trails and a couple of outstanding flow-jump trails.
Thank |Rally Cat is a good, lift assisted, black (advanced) flow trail. It one of the four downhill trails based on the High Meadow Chairlift in what is officially known as "Park City Bike Park at Canyons Village" (!!) The chairlift is old and slow. It is only about half a mile long and gains just 250 feet. So the ride back down is short and sweet, and you'll get plenty of rest time going back up!
The trail features some nice gap jumps, a couple of table tops, a kind of mini road drop (although there is no road!), wooden features, and a number of nicely bermed corners. The trail's surface is reasonably smooth - it won't try to shake your eyeballs out! All the features can now be rolled or avoided - a change since Jeff rode it. It won't try to maim you so it's a good trail for an intermediate rider to extend their skills and confidence on.
The other flow tails off the Meadow Chairlift are...
* Flying Salmon - easy, with small table tops and easy berms, bit bumpy in places, partly through forest....
* White Rabbit - easy, joins Flying Salmon half way down, weak on features...
* Wild Mouse - intermediate (blue), the top half is brilliant with all types of jumps and other features including wooden structures, bottom half was getting very chopped up when I was there - especially a series of bermed corners...
And there is the Alpine Lake Trail which is a down-sloping cross-country trail that goes from the top of the chair to the bottom. Nice little lake on the way. At one mile it's the longest of all the Meadow Chairlift trails.
Thank |Awesome and fast downhill through the woods, not a lot of super technical stuff but dang it is fun!
Thank |Good climb right out of town, you can park at the church as long as it isn't sunday. some good switchbacks a couple sections with some tech stuff on the way up. On the way down it is super fun and an excellent way to end a ride!
Thank |Great shaded trail! Lots of hikers with dogs so be aware. Challenging climb to mid mountain better as a downhill.
Thank |The only ski-resort area that I've biked in, so I can't compare to other resorts, but rather to my mtn. biking in general. Overall, not my best experiences. Yes, it was fun, and its always nice when you get to ride ski lifts up (I love downhill riding!), but there are better areas to mtn bike around the area I feel. I just don't remember anything standing out, the rides were fairly bland, no cool obstacles and didn't necessarily flow very well. There was a pretty cool jump park at the bottom for those into that.
Thank |Not as expansive as some of the other areas near Park City, but it definitely connects to all of the other areas via the Mid Mountain Trail, making for some very epic rides!

Thank |Out of the first two days of riding in Park City, Holly's is definitely my favorite trail! This is just a super fun descent that is highly entertaining, fast, challenging, railable... I can't say enough good things about Holly's!
