Mountain Biking The Flats
#64 of 108 mountain bike trails in Kentucky
about 3.5 miles of clay 4-wheeler trails, makes for a good evening ride. features a large area in the trail called "The Flats" that has 25-75ft drops that are very very steep and fast! trail climbs about 450ft above the parking lot to a radio tower, where many people turn around, but you have the option to continue across the ridge to another tower near Sunnybrook Lane. Look for huge speed decending with the occasional oppertunity for a 2-5ft drop. Alot of Fun for such a short trail!

Park in the Wal*Mart shopping plaza in Barbourville (Hwy 25E 15 miles from Corbin and from Middlesboro.) Trailhead is behind the store, there is some construction happening at the base of the trail, the path is a doubletrack that leads up to the left into the woods, about 100yds up the trail there is a flat area where you can see Hwy 25E, take a right up the hill and head left up the rest of the hill.
Ok the directions take you to a shopping center where I didn't see a trail. I assume they were talking about the dirt road down the road with the giant no trespassing sign on it that I rode down. It was kind of fun. I don't know might of missed something,
