Mountain Biking The Ironbarks
#134 of 169 mountain bike trails in New South Wales
Gazetted as a national park in 2011, this previous state forest has a number of singletracks, mostly located in the southern end of the park. You can start from almost anywhere really as there are 4WD/Fire Roads all through the park. If you don't see any arrows on posts pointing the way as you ride, you're probably going the wrong way. Surface is the typical Riverina orange dirt and crumbly slate. Not a lot in the way of features, there are a couple of tame jumps and drops, always a B-line around a feature. Currently no formal agreement is in place for the ongoing use or maintenance of these trails so ride at your own risk.
