Mountain Biking The Maze
#709 of 1,381 mountain bike trails in Colorado
After almost a half mile of road, you get to 3.5 miles of singletrack on the main route, but there are lots of alternate lines, hence the name "The Maze." In most cases, following the most heavily traveled route will usually keep you on track, but be ready to backtrack and poke around a bit until you learn your way around. The trail is mostly non-technical, but it appears to be more designed for motorcycles, so there are occasional steep but short climbs on loose tread as well as whoop-de-dos and bermed corners.

From Highway 6 in Gypsum, drive south on Spring Creek Road about one mile to the left turn on 8380. 8380 is signed for no parking, so park at the intersection (there is plenty of room) and ride 0.4 miles to the singletrack entrance on the right, across from a kiosk as 8380 curves right.
