From Lakeside Ranger Station drive 0.2 miles on State Highway 260 towards McNary. Turn left on Porter Mountain Road (Forest Road 45). Drive 2.2 miles. Turn left at the cattle guard. Drive 75 yards to the cindered trailhead on the right.
One of the best trails for mountain bikers in the White Mountains. The first half of this trail is rocky, with some great exposure and views along with some challenging rock features. The other half twists and turns through the pine trees and you can really let it rip.
