Mountain Biking Tower Hill Pond

****   Add a review
#34 of 114 mountain bike trails in New Hampshire

Mostly doubletrack around the pond. Some really great views - not highly technical, but there are a few climbs. It's a good ride for early in the season, before you're ready to really get dirty. If you finish Tower Hill and want more, go down Tower Hill Road, cross Old Acadia and take any of the trails off that to hook into the FOMBA trail network.

Really nice double track, fire roads. Beautiful scenery. Can go for miles and miles. No real single track.

It might be worth stating that this dirt road around the lake is pretty fast and connects the rail road trail from Lake Massabesic or the FOMBA trail head to The Snow Slickers trail 15 which leads right through Bear Brook State Park, which start to finish there and back again can be a pretty epic ride...

It's a fairly easy ride - good for people who are just starting out or easing back into riding. Nice scenery, not super challenging, but fun.

Rider questions

Q: I have gone down a couple of the side trails to get in to the main loop around the water. These trails were quite rocky. Are any of the trails smooth enough to be able to pull my kids down in a bike trailer?
