Getting there
From Nashville, head west on Highway 46 until Crooked Creek Road appears on the left and take that until you reach the dam at Crooked Creek. Getting on the bike, start the Crooked Creek Loop counter-clockwise, taking a right onto the Crooked Creek Connector (the trail on the right after the hard switchbacks). After a left on Miller Ridge Trail, Trail 4d should come up on the right pretty quickly.

This is probably my favorite trail in the Brown County area. Not only is it one of the region's longest sustained descents, but the newly graveled tread provides a surprisingly large amount of traction. All you need to do is get in a few good pedal strokes, trust your tires in the turns, and glide your way down.
