Mountain Biking Trail A
#54 of 128 mountain bike trails in Illinois
Primarily an intermediate trail; however, the climbs and technical features puts this trail somewhere between intermediate/difficult.
Trail A is a short one-mile loop that really represents what the rest of the trail system has to offer. There are a couple of short yet challenging climbs, along with a couple of technical switchbacks on the south edge of this trail.

Trail A is the shortest trail at Fay's, and probably the most technical. The switchbacks on the backside of the trail can be tricky climbing or descending. Plus, it's a pretty good climb either way you go to get back to the dam. One way is a long, gradual climb, and the other way is short and steep.
