#279 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Get on your bike and head up the road you came in on. go about 1 mile and pick up singletrack(turkey flats) on left. ride through meadows. Come to trail intersection at little over 2 miles stay on turkey flats trail you will come out onto a road in another mile. take a right on this road which is reservoir #1 road. Follow this road up and past a lake through alternating doubletrack/singletrack and FR. At 6.5 miles take right on ORV trail. At ~ 7.5miles take right onto trail and go down great trail to intersection youve been to before . This is the turkey flats intersection you can take a left and backtrack to the beginning or you can go right and take trail to road but this time take left at road and it will bring you back to parking lot.
This trail has great singletrack and beautiful aspen meadows. Occasional sand in turns so watck your speed. Nice break from the heat of the grand valley.

Coming from Fruita or Grand Junction: Go through Colorado Natl Monument and take the road to Glade Park. Drive to intersection where you will find the glade park store on corner. Take road 16.50 south( you will pass a campground on right @ ~ 7 miles) the road will fork at 8 miles stay right( sign for fruita resevoirs). Come to a picnic area on left side of road at 10 miles. Park in the lot.
Real fun ride, beautiful aspens, tight bowled single track, lots of cows. Some technical dots but mostly a smooth fast ride.
Thank |I am giving this a three. Every time I think I am an intermediate mountain biker, I ride a trail like this that kinda chews me up and spits me out.
Gorgeous trail overall with fantastic scenery. Too many hike a bikes for my fitness/skill level.
We rode it 7/27/14 and there were sooo many speed sucking sandy portions. Lots of bugs as well. So bring your bug spray.
Thank |Fun trail, good climbing fun descending. Bring your bug juice there are a lot biting insects. Do the ride mid week you'll be by yourself.
Thank |awesome ride to get out of the heat. a total of 9 miles with combining Turkey Flats, Hay press, Ridge trail & Fruita Res. #1.
Thank |The uphill was tough due to the amount of roots on the trail. but the downhill was great.
Great trail to ride if you have been doing desert rides all summer. If you like the classic mountain singletrack in the timber with tech climbs, root drops and shade this for you.
Thank |Still a little muddy in places and some trees across the trail. Nice easy singletrack through a beautiful forest.
