Rode this trail from Walnut Creek Park to the suspension bridge. Great rolling terrain with some nice short downhills and some short steep climbs. Can be muddy. There is a suspension bridge that is both in North and South Carolina. Trail is short and perfect for and advanced beginner. Many wood bridges with a descent drop if you slip off. Didn't ride the terrain on the Waxhaw side of the bridge but looked to be pretty tough. Their are stairs leading to the bridge on the one side. Trail runners and hikers, sometimes with children. Be aware and use a bell.
Fun and mostly flowy, with a few fast downhill sections and a couple short but steep climbs. Nothing terribly technical here, but there are a few straightaways that are a little loose and rocky with a few deep rain grooves, a few off-camber sections with a steep drop to one side, and 2-3 easy rock gardens. Be careful on the bridges; there are 15-20 or so, and while all fairly wide and pretty short, a few have a considerable drop should you slip in the wet or otherwise loose focus. A bell is also advised here as this is a two-way trail and there are a good number of locals who ride this trail FAST (and there are a LOT of blind corners!) This trail joins two large sub-divisions so it can also have some hikers and dog-walkers. Great fun trail for beginner mountain bikers, but probably too advanced for beginning cyclists, or anyone with small children.
Fun, albeit short, singletrack trail in a residential area. This trail is a segment in the ever expanding Carolina Thread Trail system. Trail has a small amount of elevation with some rolling, off camber sections. Can't wait until more sections are added and linked in the Carolina Thread Trail.
