Mountain Biking Upper Basin
#63 of 70 mountain bike trails in Mongolia
This trail climbs 950' over 2.25 miles (290 m in 3.6 km). It runs up into a high broad basin and to the top of a ridge on the far SE end of Bodg Uul. For the first mile plus, the trail climbs along the bottom of a narrow mountain valley. Then the last mile it climbs through the forest to the top of the ridge. This is a nice rigorous climb, but it makes for an even better screamin' downhill. Beautiful area. The trail can be ridden as a straight out and back (4.5 mi or 7.25 km) or as a lariat with the Upper Basin short Loop trail (5.8 mi or 9.3 km)
