Mountain Biking Upper Lower Loop
#354 of 1,380 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This is another very easy trail that can be combined with the Lower Loop for a
decent length ride, but it is at least a little bit more challenging than the Lower
Loop. Since it is further up the side of the mountains, there is a little more
climbing along with more rocks and roots. However, there's more speed and
flow and overall fun available as well! Again, the views are hard to beat: this
valley is gorgeous!

Head North out of town on 135 and in less than a mile take a left onto Slate River
Road. Drive for roughly 5 miles to Gunsight Pass road and take a left. Drive a little
ways, park, and ride from there. The Upper Lower Loop begins on Gunsight Pass
Road up the hill a little ways from the Lower Loop. You can also access the other
end of the Upper Lower Loop from the Lower Loop.
