Mountain Biking Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve
#84 of 115 mountain bike trails in South Carolina
Located only minutes from Hilton Head Island, the 977 acre Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve provides an escape from the crowds. The preserve contains an example of the pine-saw palmetto flatwoods community. This community type is widespread in Florida and Georgia, but rare in South Carolina.

From Exit 8 on Interstate 95 near Hardeeville, drive east on US 278 toward Hilton Head Island. Drive 1.7 miles past the junction of SC 46 (to Bluffton) and turn left (north) onto Sawmill Creek Road (Beaufort County S-7-744) at the BROWN sign for Waddell Mariculture Center. (It is directly across from the TANGER 1 Outlet Center). Drive 1.3 miles and turn right into a gravel parking lot with the trailhead sign sign.
This is a nice ride through an interesting area. Nothing technical at all, just a good way to get off the greenways and ride some dirt.
