Mountain Biking Vorderegg
#28 of 33 mountain bike trails in Switzerland
The climb on the gravel road is a good, steady workout, with amazing views once you hit the plateau. The last leg of the climb can be a bit challenging, but doable of a mediocre biker like me. Total elevation to climb is about 3,000 feet. The singletrack downhill is sweet, through grass and across a little creek. The last leg from Weissenberge to the parking lot can also be done on singletrack, though that's a bit more challenging with lots of roots and rocks on a pretty steep path.

Start at parking lot for the Weissenberge cable car. Take the gravel road up, following the river, to Chrauchtal. Just before reaching the farm building on a plateau, turn left to head up to Vorderegg. From Vorderegge, take Singletrack down to Weissenberge, then head back on the gravel road to parking lot.
