The Wabash Trace Nature Trail is one of Iowa's premier trails. Stretching

Blanchard on the Iowa/Missouri border. Biking, hiking, cross-country skiing
and even horseback riding on the equestrian trails that parallel parts of the
trail are some of the great ways to experience the Wabash Trace. User fee
required: $1.00/day or $10.00/year.
Trail Description: Former railroad corridor converted to a multi-use trail; trail
width 10 feet, corridor width 100 feet.
Parking & Trail Access: Council Bluffs, Mineola, Silver City, Malvern, Imogene,
Shenandoah, Coin, and Blanchard

Crushed limestone. Better maintained closer to Council Bluffs. A lot of use, especially on Thursday evenings so avoid if you don't like crowds. Easy ride, shaded, beginner skill level needed.

It's relatively easy and perfect for scenic countryside view. Even though I'm intermediate level, I still enjoy this trail a lot.

Easy ride. Relaxing. The horse trails on the side are good for short spurts of off roadness. Taco ride, of course, is a favorite. * Review edited 3/15/2012
