To get to the main Wagonhammer trailhead from Salmon travel North on US93 about 19 miles along the Salmon River. You will see a public rest area on the right that has a set of stair accessing a picnic area. Go right here and follow the dirt road to the Trailhead, about a 1/4 mile.
The early season shuttle access is by way of Sheep Creek Road on US93 north of North Fork. This road is signed as USFS #77 once you are up in the think of the woods.
Later in the season (mid-July depending on snowpack) the big shuttle rides are accessed via 4th of July Creek off of US93 to the south and east of North Fork. Take 4th of July up to Stein Mtn Lookout.
