Mountain Biking Waitangi Mountain Bike Park
#39 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
The Waitangi mountain bike park features some of the best grade 2, 3 and 4 trails you'll ever find. There is over 50km (with a planned 80km) of professionally built, world class mountain bike trails, built and designed by Jeff Carter from Southstar Trails (who built all the MTB Trails in the famous Rotorua Redwoods). Don't miss the trail called Mokopuna - it's a symphony of mellow singletrack artistry with nice curves, gentle humps, little table tops, and even friendly rock garden features. But don't underestimate this trail or the others in the park as some of the easy (grade 2) trails sometimes feel like they need intermediate (grade 3) skills.
There is over 80km of tracks planned for this iconic piece of New Zealand land, in one of the most culturally significant areas of the country.

From the single lane bridge that leads into Waitangi, head up Tau Henare Drive past the Treaty Grounds and the gold course. Turn right into Bayly Road and you'll come to the car park for the mountain bike trails in less than a kilometre.
Awesome park, going to be one of the best in New Zealand!
Thank |Very lumpy with too tight switchbacks on the uphill track. Nice riding but better on the full sus not the Fattie.
Thank |It's a great little mountain bike park featuring very well designed easy (grade 2) trails as well as some harder flow trails.
