Mountain Biking Waubonsie State Park
#73 of 96 mountain bike trails in Iowa
The park has a network of trails that were originally intended for hiking and horseback riding. The network is virtually endless with some fairly extreme up and downhills. There are a few log jumps and some serious gravity cavities. Take it easy your first time out or you'll end up going over the handlebars and, likely, wrapped around a tree. You'll find a map of the park and the major trails here: http://www.iowadnr.com/parks/images/maps_pictures/waubonsiemap.pdf

From the Nebraska City exit off of I-29, go East toward Waubonsie State Park. Enter the park and drive toward the overlook. You can access the network of trails from a number of places but starting at the overlook and heading down the bridge trail is a nice place to begin.
