This is a loop that climbs the West Chile trail, which is a mix of singletrack and doubletrack, traverses the ridge on Trail 175 to Secret Trail, and drops back down to the start on the Secret Trail. The route can also be done in the opposite direction.
If climbing West Chile Trail, be on the lookout for a very indistinct singletrack to the left very early in the ride. If you find yourself going along a creek bed with a lot of creek crossings, you're going the wrong way, and that trail dead ends soon. If you're on the right trail, you'll climb sharply onto an old doubletrack that is fading fast.
On the way down, be sure to catch the turn on to the Deer Trail, or you'll end up in Glorieta instead of back at your parking lot.
In fact, much of this route is fading and can be hard to follow. There is also deadfall as this trail gets little traffic and less maintenance.
It is possible to turn this into some major mileage as Trail 175 can connect to the west to Atalaya Mountain/Dale Ball Trails, and Secret trail connects to the whole Glorieta trail network to the east.

There's a reason this trail has not joined the list of great Santa Fe rides. It is hard to follow, unmaintained, the surface is rarely conducive to cycling, and route finding can be a real challenge.
This is an adventure ride, but not really a fun ride. The scenery is mostly good and occasionally exceptional, but other area trails offer that without all the frustration.
