Tough hike-a-bike climbs 1,600 ft in 3 miles coming back was fun

Unless you have oak tree trunks for thighs, this is near impossible to ride up. It is exposed and loose with switch backs on the side of some steep hill sides. You're on the brakes the whole way down with no place to let off and pick up some speed. I'd go down Holy Jim or Trabuco instead.

This trail is a bitch. I have climbed and descended it. I have only heard of two people who actually were able to pedal to the top. The initial trail is techy with rocks. Once the trail turns upward is where I begin to swear. I think it is like trying to pedal up marbles. Hiking is not much easier as it feels for every two steps you take you slide back down one. It is very exposed and steep. Even decending this trail is a little disconcerting. Ride this for one of a few reasons. 1. to check off bucket list. 2. a race.
