Mountain Biking West Mountain
#247 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
This is a lift accessed downhill park. (There is a pump track.). IIMHO, all the trails are Intermediate and up. The green lollipops are still great fun. Not all flowy and smooth with big berms, but great fun in the woods. Tight turns, drops, turns, some jumps. Great bikes to rent, and the staff is helpful. Only real drawback is the mountain isn't that big, and the ride up is 15 minutes on a slow chair and you spend more time on the chair than the course. Not as scary as the scary steep stuff at Whiteface, but don't come without a FS and the knowledge on how to ride tough downhill terrain
