Mountain Biking Whataupoko Park
#129 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
First up, have a look at the mapboard at the entrance and figure out some trails to suit your fitness and ability. There is a spaghetti polonaise of purpose built singletrack scattered around, all signposted. The park is not very big - you won't be lost for long! Some nice views from the top too.

The park entrance is only a few minutes ride from downtown Gisborne. Head for Fox Street and look for the sign. Google maps will take you there if you put in MTB Park, Gisborne!
This is a fine little scenic mountain bike park. Unlike most North Island trails it's not built in a production pine plantation which makes for a nice change. The trails are mainly short intermediate cross-country style.
