Mountain Biking White Cloud Nature Trail
#21 of 35 mountain bike trails in North Dakota
Maps available at the info center at the top of the hill. (you might want to drive up :) Trail is 10 miles cobbled together in verious green spots on S side of Jamestown. Starting by the river there's a network of single track through the woods with main loop and rogue convection. Then you travel along the road with not much more trail then track of a mower.you cross under 94 and back again farther down. The whole NE section is dead flat. After that it plays with the hill side and it's big. It then goes S through a stands of trees on both sides of road by hospital and jail, the back to N of free way with a bit of tight single track and 2 big steep climbs and drops near the Buffalo to finish back at the start.

Taking Bu 94 through Jamestown. South on 2nd Ave SE. into McElroy park. From there you can cross the foot bridge to TH by the river.
Giving 3 stars, not to dam with faint praise but just to say no better then average. Mostly well kept, in fact they mow the grass back from the trail. The sections in open fields N of freeway are dead flat except for short bits in trees. Unless I just wanted to spin out miles I'd skip the whole NE part. S of 94 on the hill is some real climbing and DH. Then it's a bunch of wind break rows of trees. I missed one bit at the far E end by the jail. There's some more if you go past the little building and cross street. Trail just under 10 miles and I got 1400 vert, don't know if that's accurate. Nice local neer free way. I may stop back when I get a chance. ps. the trail past the mostly kaput bridge appears to be abandoned till further notice. bag out of that.
