Waggoner's Run Mountain Bike Trail was created by the Flatlanders Bicycle Club in 2019. The trail was dedicated in October of 2020 and named "Waggoner's Run" after local cycling enthusiast and bicycle shop owner, Dan Waggoner. The trail boasts 4.7 miles of twists, turns and challenging natural as well as man-made features. The trail winds its way around the trees surrounding the S.C.R.A.P. barn. The trail is open for mountain bikes as well as hiking, we recommend hikers hike the trail in reverse and stay alert for oncoming bike traffic. The trail is a one way mountain bike trail, beginning at the parking lot #2 next to the railroad tracks on County Road 65. Please no horseback riding, pets or motorized vehicles. This is a flat, twisty trail that is well maintained and has several man made obstacles. There are limestone dunes next to the trailhead that have a pump track effect to some of them.
Great local ride, most of the trial is beginner level but the last mile is much more technical. The trail has been renamed Waggoner's Run.
