I was disappointed at first, the trail description led me to believe that this would be more flowy singletrack. This is great for any beginner to come out and build their skill or for an advanced rider to pedal hard for that lung burning cardio workout. Parking lot is huge with a nice kiosk and descriptive trail map, signage on the trail was very good and easy to follow.

Not a bad little trail system, but it is mostly double-wide and jeep trail. There is some true singletrack (maybe 1.5 mile), and it is good. The one mile long "technical segment" is intermediate, not advanced trail, but it is mostly fun rocky singletrack.

The most technical portion of the system is singletrack at the back of the system (north end) where the trail goes up and down a small pass. This is a really fun technical stretch of trail maybe a 1/2 mile long. A couple of short stretches on this are advanced, but again, any intermediate rider can ride this section with a dismount or two maybe.

The rest of the trails in the system are wide and go in and out of little washes on relatively flat land. You can get a lot of speed pedaling and have some good fun plunging into the washes as fast as you can.

Here is a link for a map of the system, but you can also get a map from the pay station as you enter the park ($6 fee). Make sure you ask for the competitive track map

I marked it expert because there is a trail only for those who are weathered riders, however with that said intermediate riders should check this out. There is a $6 charge at the entrance but it is worth it. Best trail I've ridden.

Very fun trail. No HaB spots and very fast. $6.00 park fee kinda bummed me out. But its cheap. A few competitions and races are held here even one with high school students only. Check out the NBAA website to see what these kids are up to.

Great, fun track in the West Valley. It's like their side's McDowell Mtn. Park. I will be back. Great trails.

Fun and fast. Smooth with a only a couple technical sections. Otherwise, not hard at all.

Fun fast trail. Great for a recovery ride. A few rough sections but mostly fast smooth riding. Great for a light hardtail! Trail is very well marked and shows the flow of direction. Impossible to get lost just always remember that turning right will be a faster way home and turning left will be more technical sections. Also, four tagged mountain lions do live out here. Although sightings are not common they are out there. Always keep your wits about you and carry some pepper spray. Be on your highest caution in the early mornings. Other than that this is a fun trail worth a try.

found this trail to be rather easy. not to many tough spots. Starts as a dirt road then turns to single tracks. Definately worth riding, but i wasn't too stoked on the $6 park fee. Check out south mountain* Review edited 10/20/2012

This is a really fun trail with plenty of options depending on how much time you have and your skill level. I will be riding this trail often, as I live in surprise
