Mountain Biking Whoop-de-dos / #223c
#175 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
1.1 Mile long one direction, the Whoop-De-Dos trail when looped with the normal Bull mountain trail can form a short 4.6 mile loop referred to as the "Short Bull" ride by some of the guidebooks. The Whoop-De-Dos trail is about 1/2 good singletrack and 1/2 wide double track with one main line through it. Descending down this trail is sure to yield some great air opportunities, if you have the suspension to soak up the rocks in the landing!

"From Atlanta take GA 400 North towards Dahlonega. 400 becomes US 19. Take US 19 to Dahlonega. Take GA 52 West in Dahlonega. Turn right at Grizzle's store (broken sign actually says 'zle's Store") onto Nimblewill Church Rd. Just before Nimblewill Baptist church, turn at the marked "Jake Mountain" trailhead. Primitive camping spots located just down the hill from the main parking lot.
Alternate: Turn right on FS 28 at Nimblewill Baptist. Go 0.4 miles. Turn left onto FS 83. 1.8 miles to trailhead. Several bike parking areas, this trailhead is known as Bull Mountain.
Fun little connector that allows you to shorten the Bull Mt loop. Be aware that south to north is downhill and north to south is mostly up. The only reason it's a 4 is because it is short. The main use of this trail is simply to cut the full Bull Mt loop in half.
