Most enjoy Whoopdee riding counter-clockwise. Ride 0.25 miles south on gravel road where singletrack starts off left. The Whoopdee trail is a great mix of flowy, undulating track with short climbs (except for the climb out) and fast descents. Towards the bottom of the loop, there are a series of fast roller coaster-like drops followed by immediate steep climbs. There's nothing incredibly technical and beginner's can enjoy this trail too. The climb out to the parking lot is about 30 minutes of singletrack switchback to the parking lot. NOTE: this land is owned by Stevenson Land Company who has graciously allowed non-motorized use so it behooves the rider to be on their best behavior when riding. From time to time, the trail will close for logging and some sections may be closed or re-routed. Check out www.hrats.org (Hood River Area Trail Stewards) for updates.
