Mountain Biking Wild Turkey
#121 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
A fantastic short and challenging trail. Skinny bridges and steep climbs; this trail is not for beginners. Short enough to loop 2 or 3 times before you quit.

Accessible from Chuck Lennon Trailhead A.
From Deland, follow US 17/Woodland Blvd north. Follow road signs to De Leon Springs. You'll turn down Ponce Deleon Blvd, the turn lane is incredibly small. Immediately after crossing the rail road tracks (DeLeon Springs is directly head) turn left onto Burts Park Rd. Chuck Lennon Park is the first left through the gates. First dirt parking lot are the bike trails.
Anywhere else, get on US 17 and head south.
In the chuck lennon trail this is one of the most challenging trails, but overall it's not that hard for experienced riders.
The stairs and the skinny at the beginning are the hardest parts for most. Several large roots to hop over. A few wooden bridges that have a nice roll to them. There are a few climbs even the best riders sometimes cant make it up, but otherwise this is a fun 1 and half mile loop.
Thank |Great short trail with nicely built wood features. Steep climbs and fast drops.
Currently closed off due to mud. The rain has also washed away a lot of dirt.
