Mountain Biking Wolf Creek

***   Add a review
#77 of 169 mountain bike trails in Missouri
#5,575 in the world

The Wolf Creek trail is located within the Mark Twain National Forest. It traverses the rolling, wooded hills typical of the Ozark Plateau. More than 12 miles of the trail are currently available for use by bicyclists, walkers and runners; horses are not allowed. Available mileage will rise as more trail sections are completed. It is hoped the entire trail will be completed and open to public use by December 2015."

This trail is great for the area and is my go to for weekly rides. There are several routes you can take and can make a loop as small as 3.5 miles and as big as 20ish miles without repeating trails.

Wolf Creek is just outside of Poplar Bluff, it is a great way to enjoy a day with friends and loved ones. Difficulty isn't very high thankfully so that unskilled mountain bikers like me can just get out and have fun. There were places that were a little above my skill level, I just got off my bike and walked across the harder spots and had a great time! Please come and enjoy this trail and also enjoy our town, Poplar Bluff is a very friendly place and we are growing quickly.

Nice flowy XC type system. Nothing technical or steep. Great for beginners. More Advanced riders,,,, just ride faster. Ride fast enough and it can get interesting fast.
Plans for more trail. Hopefully they can put one in with some technical features.
