Mountain Biking Woodhill Mountain Bike Park

***   Add a review
#13 of 171 mountain bike trails in North Island
#3,684 in the world

Home to 100 kms of buff singletrack, the most popular riding destination in Auckland. All abilities are catered for with well maked and graded trails. The well draining soil means the trails are in excellent condition all year round. Open 7 days a week and late nights on Wednesdays. Excellent setup at the carpark with bike hire available, the proshop, coffee, and bikewash. These trails started up in the 90′s, the club had a hand getting access and the network setup. Woodhill Bike Parks continue to develop and manage the network.

Loose soft sand in many places requires cautious riding. It is easy to come off in a soft corner. Rain is needed.

The new tracks are a whole lot of fun with good signage. A lot of climbing, but some good downhill bits to match. The annual pass is a good deal and living just 25 mins away it means I can easily go 15 times to make the cost of the pass worthwhile

A bit boggy in places and the wet roots were entertaining but always good

Fun place to ride although facilities could be better considering the price, they are busy making new trails right now but could do with a little polish (new toilets, water stations, tool stations, open the jump park, more trail maintenance etc). I could be coloured as i rode here for free in the early years. Unfortunately in NZ they will always get compared to the gold standard of Rotovegas, still nice trails, heaps of fun to be had and the base shop and staff are really good.

You have to pay to go onto these trails but the price is reasonable and the people at the entrance and shop are very helpful and friendly.
There is something for everyone on the trails which mainly go through plantation forest.
It's Auckland's premier bike farm and it's pretty good but I seldom found the magic.

A popular trail centre and rightly so. Really well maintained trails and LOADS of fun and variation. Some wickedly fast downhill stretches with plenty of bumps and jumps to throw the cocky rider into a tree (I know from experience). Can ride here all day!
