Mountain Biking Wood's Trail
#608 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Wood's Trail features a quick series of small jumps and berms on the upper end
of the trail that is reminiscent of a dual slalom course. A little further down, the
trail feeds into a pair of MASSIVE wooden wall rides! After that, the trail's
disposition changes further. It straightens out into an all-out bomb interrupted
only by a series of medium-size table-top jumps.
While Wood's trail is only about a mile long, it probably takes about 5 miles of
riding to work this trail in. Connect to it off of the top of the lift via Luge and
Painter Boy or Primer and Painter Boy. Once done with Wood's Trail, hang a left
down the highway and pedal back to the base of the resort.

From the town of Crested Butte, drive north up the mountain on Hwy. 135 for
about 2 miles. Once in the town of Mount Crested Butte, just follow signs for
Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Park in one of the day parking areas.
The second wall ride was HUGE, but so much fun!
At the time I rode this trail the lower section was under construction.
Black diamond difficulty rating.
