Mountain Biking Alum Creek Phase I
#7 of 116 mountain bike trails in Ohio
Beginners can handle this trail, but it also has alot of technical aspects to build bike skills. Really good trail to enjoy your MTB, there is also a 2 mile beginner loop across the road from the entry. Good to warm up on or to teach a little one to ride.
Some neat obstacles and technical regions on this trail. Stays wet is the only downside ... please stay off when the rains have been around. This trail does not drain well.

From Columbus, go north on 71 and get off at the Polaris exit(121) and go right. Take Polaris parkway to Worthington Rd. Turn left. Go until you come to Africa Rd. Turn left. Keep going straight, through the 4 way stop(you'll see the damn on your left), and after the R/C air strip hang a right onto Lewis Center Rd (Lewis Center is a funky road). The trail head is up on your left. You will also see alot of MTB signs in the Alum Creek State Park area ... most of those signs lead to Phase I.
