A barren, twisted tree stands atop a rocky outcrop, silhouetted against a bright sun in a clear blue sky. Mountains rise in the background, partially shrouded in shadow, while vibrant lens flares create a halo effect around the sun. Golden grasses and earthy tones dominate the foreground, highlighting the rugged beauty of the landscape. Bonneville Shoreline mountain bike trail.

Out and back, you will cross a creek 3 times, only one time will you have to ride through it, there is a mixture of short climbs and very short technical sections, great training ride when everything else is muddy

This is a fun, relatively short trail you can make in a loop. It also rides at a lower altitude and is easy to access. The trail has some challenges with long sustained climbs, tight switchbacks and some technical sections. The best part by far are the amazing views of the Salt Lake Valley and a fun but challenging finish down the Bobsled downhill.

This is a great trail - the best of the 4 BST segments in Ogden. Elevation gain, exposure, rocks - definitely the most technical. There has been some work on the trail north of Jump Off Canyon to smooth out some of the rougher spots (more advanced riders might say 'sanitized'...) but it's still a great ride.

This section is very busy as it is part of the kaysville wilderness area. However, the BST is the access to the Bikers Edge Battle loop which is awesome. The Battle loop is well maintained and offers some technical riding sections. This is a great training loop and has a few great views. The other big bonus is that there are rest rooms at the trail head with a water fountain. There are also campsites throughout the Wolderness area which are free as long as you register with the City of Kaysville.

I live off the 22nd Street trailhead and so I access this trail pretty frequently. From 22nd, riding down to Rainbow Gardens and then up the Birdsong Trail is a nice, easy loop. There's also some fun stuff off of 29th Street down towards Weber State. There are a few rocky sections between 22nd and 27th where you need to be careful. Other than that, it's a whole lot of fun close to town.

Nice trail in Ogden & N. Ogden. The section from 12th street north is the most technical section in Ogden, until you get past the North Ogden Nature Center trailhead. Climbing the new portion toward Coldwater Canyon is nice and smooth.

I had a blast on this trail yesterday. From weber state to 12th street. There was a couple of puddles but easy to go around. I have this trail pretty dialed.

Great trail to learn on, and very good for a calm ride, but can also offer an exciting ride. Some semi-technical spots, but nothing extreme. Lots of smooth single track and a great view overlooking layton. Trail is often lined with hikers, joggers, and sometimes horses so I would recommend going on a day when the trail isn't packed so you can fly.

North of 12th is my new go to as the trail south of 12th down to Beus Canyon is exceptionally busy lately. People tend to avoid the northern section because it is much more exposed and technical than the southern section. The climbing is also more steep and sustained. Sure is peaceful though!

Minor amounts of climbing and descending?! Ha! Funny guy, writer of trail descriptions. The part about hiker and dog walker traffic is right though. It's best to go on a chilly, cloudy day so you can avoid the fair weather recreators. There are a few spots where the exposure makes the penalty for failure high. Be prepared.

Fun ride with a lot of trail options. Nice trail to ride until the funner trails have thawed out.

Some reviews aren't fair in their assessment because they generalize a very very very long trail. I will review the section from basically little willow canyon all the way to corner canyon. It's an amazingly scenic ride. If you're really lucky you could even spot a mountain lion, but there are a couple of brutally steep rocky spots that you probably will have to walk your bike around. I actually endo'd (front-flipped) my bike twice. I was still fairly new to mtn. biking, so that may have contributed and I don't know how it would be now, but yeah, expect some difficulties in a couple spots. But otherwise, it's a fantastic view/ride...not a lot of people on it when I was there, kind of a peaceful experience. May head back there at some point to see how I handle its obstacles now that I have a few years of experience under my belt.

One of the easiest trails I have ridden. Not a lot of rocks but 1 or 2 decent uphills the rest scenic and pretty shady. Can go 1 of 2 ways up Adams canyon or continue on the shoreline 2 river crossings.

If you like to climb (read: abuse yourself), start at Rainbow Gardens in Ogden Canyon. If you like a descent, start at any of the Harrison Blvd offshoots or, for the full experience, Beus Canyon just south above the Dee Events Center in South Ogden. This trail is definitely technically advanced. I am a beginning rider but I'm stubborn, so I made it okay but it was slow-going. Definitely recommend for intermediate-advanced riders. The closer you are to Ogden Canyon, the more traffic (hikers, bikers, and dogs oh my) there is. Farther south the trail is much more technical and you'll have it to yourself. If you're headed south on the trail, be prepared to do some hike-a-bike-ing. Views are pretty nice. The trail is mostly exposed so wear sunblock! If you like smooth trails with few to no rocks, this is NOT for you!

has 2 river crossings ,that are slightly difficult lol if your not a good rider but most can make it.. has 2 bridge crossings in adoms canyon and after, if you start at the north end you can soak in the river to cool off right before the gun range near the end of the ride

This is one of the best off-season rides in Ogden. The north side is much more exposed and technical than south of 12th. Great fun for an experienced mountain biker. Snow free most of the winter.

This is a great after work ride. My favorite route is to start at the 12th Street/Rainbow Gardens trailhead-gives you a nice downhill finish as an out-and-back. Otherwise it's only a green-circle trail. Dries out first in the spring and last to be snow covered in the fall.
