Mountain Biking Long Canyon 4x4 Road
#419 of 710 mountain bike trails in Utah
Yeah, it's a 4x4 road, but few cars venture up it, and it's one heck of a workout along a beautiful canyon--is there any canyon in the area that isn't beautiful? At one point, there is a huge piece of sandstone that has fallen across the road, leaving an opening just large enough to squeeze a vehicle through. Pretty cool. No sandstone to ride on, so it's something different.

Take Hwy 279 west a few miles out of Moab along the Colorado River. Long Canyon Road is to the right. Park along the road and begin climbing.
