Beautiful remote mountain tops and great climbing. The down hill is amazing.

Super bad ass trail! Lots of climbing at first, about 2000 feet in 3.5 miles (and that's if you shuttle.). Once you reach the top of Lookout Mountain you can see forever in every direction. Then it's steep flowy single track for miles to the bottom. There's a couple cliffs close to the trail and some technical riding on the way down but the entire trail is in great shape and very rideable. Might kill a beginner but sweet trail for every one else.

You can park at the bottom and drive up to the other side of the trail where it links with Round Butte trail, or ride that portion on your bike for a few thousand extra very. You can also do round butte to make it around 30 miles if you're feeling like it.

Like I said, we shuttled. It was the longest 11 mile ride I've done, and the best. Not far past Prineville so you Bendites looking for something challenging, fun, and most of all new, definitely check this one out. It's a lot like Alpine in Oakridge.
