Gentle rolling hills that wind though tall stands of lodgepole pine and open meadows. Easy ride with great potential for speed.

Trailhead Archway and Trailhead Building are located at the south end of Geyser Street in West Yellowstone.
This trail reminded me why I don't generally look to ride at xc ski areas. It's just a collection of very wide/flat/straight swaths cut through a rather flat and (by local standards) uninteresting piece of forest.
Thank |Great workout on the main loop, which takes about 15 minutes to do, so you can do it over and over if you like. There are other trails that branch off the main loop; however, they aren't used as much, so they can get overgrown. I have met two black bears on two different rides there, so keep an eye out. A few spots where you can really fly.
Thank |There are approximately 30km (19 miles) of loop trails. Primarily designed as cross-country ski trails and biathlon course. These make great riding for the beginner and the more advance looking for a easy rolling up and down fun ride. The loops all intercept at some point so you can mix it up as much as you want. The trails are very well marked and it would be darn near impossible to get lost. I rated it as a 4 because its just a perfect fast easy ride for just about anyone, there is no technical stuff. I've ridden these dozens of times at lunch or short ride after work - most rides it's a rarity to see someones else on these trails (summer), BUT - BEWARE - THIS IS GRIZZLY BEAR COUNTRY, make noise and carry bear spray.
