Industry Nine debuted their aluminum-rimmed BackCountry 360 wheelset last year. With an internal rim width of 36mm, the BC360 wheels were designed to handle tires 2.4-3.0″ wide. And, of course, the rims are laced to I9’s legendary hubs.
Since the release of the BC360 wheels, I9 has been hounded by customers wanting a carbon-rimmed option. Industry Nine obliged and now offers the PillarCarbon BC360 wheelset. Like the rest of I9’s carbon offerings, the rims are made for them by Reynolds.

Industry Nine is only offering the carbon BC360s in a 27.5″ diameter, though the aluminum version can be had in either 27.5″ or 29″. Weights between the carbon and aluminum wheelsets are identical at 1,865g.
Pricing for the new wheels starts at $2,325 and goes up from there, depending on how nutty you want to go with color customization. Look for the new wheels to begin shipping later this fall.
