Ok, for the record I own a dozen pairs of sunglasses – does that mean I’m obsessed?. My latest addition is a pair of Dea sunglasses from Tifosi and I’m stoked about the functional combination of fashionable styling and discreet technical features. The feminine color choices (black and pink or leopard print!) and celebrity-like dark gradient lenses make these glasses appear casual but a closer look reveals they’re fit for sports as well.

First, the non-slip rubber ear and nose pieces help the Dea sunglasses stay put even over bumpy terrain. The outer corners of the frames are ventilated to minimize fogging lenses – a lifesaver during cool weather climbs. Top these sporty features off with super clear optics and you can wear the Dea biking around town or running that charity 5k.

The Dea sunglasses also come with three sets of interchangeable lenses–smoke colored gradient lenses for sunny days, red lenses for low-light conditions, and clear lenses for colorless eye protection. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to change out the smoke lenses from the Dea, the frames are just too stiff. I prefer to wear these off the bike anyway, they look great when meeting the girls for happy hour on the patio.

For a sportier look, consider Tifosi’s Torrent sunglasses. These also come with interchangeable lenses in the same colors as the Dea. The Torrent’s lenses pop in and out much easier. I’m a total sucker for interchangeable lenses and since Tifosi eyewear is very reasonably priced, it’s like getting three pairs of sunglasses for only $60!

Every pair of Tifosi glasses comes with a handy cleaning cloth and carrying case making it easy to take care of these sunglasses. Even if you have a small sunglasses collection you’ll want to make room for a pair of Tifosi interchangeables – they’re great both on the trail and off!
