Zoic’s spring 2016 mountain bike clothing line is a mixture of fun and classy–bright, bold, and patterned alongside subdued and solid colors. The women’s selection features a cool color theme with plenty of blues, purples, and greens, as well as an argyle print that incorporates all those colors into one funky pattern. This theme carries through a number of different styles of jerseys and shorts, so there’s something for everyone no matter what your fashion and riding style.
I chose to review the Milos, a short-sleeve, raglan-style jersey. It features a half-zip up front and one zippered pocket around back for the secure storage of ride essentials. The raglan style sleeves end at the crook of the elbow, so they offer slightly more coverage than traditional short sleeves.
The Milos is made of polyester and spandex, and demonstrates excellent moisture-wicking capabilities. It is incredibly comfortable–breathable when it’s hot out, but also surprisingly warm for the slightly cooler days. It’s soft and feels good against the skin no matter what the conditions are.
And of course, I need to mention how stylish this jersey is, both on and off the bike. I’m not usually one for bright colors, but I really love the argyle print. The cut is flattering but functional, with a slightly longer back to prevent it from riding up while you’re leaning forward over the handlebars all day. I’m 5’3″ and about 125 pounds, and the small fits perfectly–fitted yet roomy enough to wear over a thin long-sleeved shirt when it’s colder. Or, pair it with the Zoic Arm in Arm warmers for quick transitions from a short sleeve to long sleeve on those days when you’re just not sure exactly how the weather will be.
Overall, this is a really great piece of mountain bike clothing that I’d highly recommend adding to any female cyclist’s wardrobe. It’s certainly become one of my go-to favorites.
