Commencal USA Is Moving from Carlsbad, CA to Golden, CO

Commencal is relocating their US office from Carlsbad, California to Golden, Colorado, due in large part to the vibrant mountain biking community in Golden.

When Commencal first came to the USA, they knew they needed to be located in a city with easy international reach, and California was an obvious choice. Now, they’re attempting to improve their business across the entire United States, “providing the best consumer direct service out there,” and they think the key is to be located in Golden, Colorado.

Golden is centrally-located for shipping, which plays a big part in the decision. However, Commencal also notes they hope “visitors to our showroom will play a big part in the success of our fresh location.” With a large number of mountain bikers located on the Colorado Front Range, plus all of the mountain bikers that travel to Colorado from around the world, Golden seems like the perfect spot to encourage showroom traffic.

“The gateway to the Rockies offers world-class riding and a very passionate MTB culture with small-town friendliness where we hope to get involved in the community and laid-back lifestyle,” said Commencal in a press release. “Across Colorado, there are trails for all appetites thanks to several bike parks and an ever-growing local race scene split between DH and big mountain enduro. There’s miles and miles of epic singletrack adventures to be had and we can’t wait to discover more around our new home. It’s the perfect training ground for all of our athletes to come together.”

It’s not every day that a bike brand packs up shop and moves across the country. While the mountain bike industry presence on the Colorado Front Range continues to grow, seeing a bike company move their US headquarters from Southern California, the de facto capital of the mountain bike industry, to the Colorado Front Range speaks volumes of the industry presence in the state.

Due to the move, the Commencal offices are currently closed and will reopen in Golden on April 2.
