Starting in 2016, Intense began working on a 29er version of their popular M16 downhill bike. Last season, Intense Factory rider Jack Moir rode a prototype version of the bike at Fort William, snagging second place overall. Based on this success and the evolution of the bike’s design, Intense Factory Race Team riders will be racing on the M29 for the 2018 season.

But that’s not the end of the story. Intense is planning to offer an extremely limited number–just 15–M29 bikes for sale to the public this summer. The bike is officially known as the M29 FRO, which means “for racing only.”
